RNAseq of Brominated Flame Retardants exposed rats during gestation and lactation in a DMBA-induced mammary tumor model using the Sprague-Dawley rat

Inguinal mammary glands were sampled from female Sprague-Dawley rats exposed to either 0, 0.06, or 60 mg of BFRs/kg of BW/Day during gestation and lactation. At weaning, dams were transferred to a normal diet, and mammary tumours were induced by DMBA by gavage (2mg/mL in corn oil) on the second day of involution. Mammary glands were harvested 175 days after gavage and snap frozen. Tissues were reduced to powder in liquid nitrogen, and RNA was extracted using the Aurum total RNA fatty and fibrous tissue kit (Bio-Rad, Ontario, Canada, no. 7326830).
