A high-precision catalogue of landslide events in China based on news text mining with large language model

A landslide event catalogue with fine-grained spatial and temporal precision for mainland China from 2008 to 2024, using news reports as the primary data source. The catalogue contains 1582 landslide events with detailed spatiotemporal attributes, with temporal precision reaching the minute level for some events and spatial resolution refined to the county level or finer, including a substantial proportion localized at the administrative village level or specific reported sites.
