EFFECTIVENESS OF PROBIOTICS AND ANTIBIOTICS IN PREVENTING POULTRY PASTEURELLIOSIS IN CHICKENS

The article presents epidemiological data on poultry pasteurellosis and the results of an experimental experiment on the separate and combined use of Florabalans probiotic and Intertrim 480 Oral antibiotic for the prevention of the disease. Chicks of the 1st experimental group were given Intertrim 480 Oral antibiotic separately, group 2 was given Florabalans probiotic, and group 3 was given Florabalans probiotic and Intertrim 480 Oral antibiotic together. Then, chicks of all groups were infected with the pasteurellosis pathogen P. Multosida in an amount of 1 ml (1-1.5 billion m.t. - LD100). As a result of the study, the effectiveness of preventing the disease in groups 1 and 2 was 90%, and in group 3 it was 100%.
