A dataset of wetland soil fauna species inventory in Chahan Nao'er Basin, inner mongolia autonomous region during 2022-2023

Soil fauna serve as critical agents in ecosystem material cycling and energy flow, playing a vital role in maintaining soil health and biodiversity. Based on 2022–2023 field surveys conducted in Chahan Nao'er National Wetland Park and Minle Nao within the wetland areas of Chahan Nao'er Basin (Ulanqab City, Inner Mongolia), this study systematically compiled the Soil Fauna Species Conservation Inventory Dataset, documenting 10 orders and 75 families (subfamilies) represented by 2,018 identified specimens with metadata fields including basin name, Chinese/Latin names for Phylum, Class, Order, and Family (Subfamily), thereby providing an empirical foundation for regional biodiversity conservation, ecosystem functional assessment, and restoration of degraded ecosystems.
