SHARAD Cluttersims from Dundas et al. 2017 Science

This compressed file contains the SHARAD (Shallow Radar) clutter simulations inspected in the Dundas et al. 2017 Science manuscript "Exposed sheets of subsurface ice in the Martian mid-latitudes". The SHARAD instrument was provided to NASA’s Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter mission by the Italian Space Agency (ASI). HRSC is the High Resolution Stereo Camera onboard Mars Express. Scarps #1 and #5 were in areas where HRSC Digital Terrain Models (DTMs) already existed publicly (h2213_0000_dt4.img and h2587_0001_dt4.img, respectively). Using these DTMs, Michael Christoffersen kindly ran code out of Dr. Jack Holt's group at UTexas to generate higher resolution cluttersims for these two scarp sites. These files are in the HRSC_Cluttersims folder. MOLA-based cluttersims that were inspected for all 7 sites + Milankovic crater are in the MOLA_Cluttersims folder.The cluttersims for two tracks that pass over Milankovic crater were also generated by Dr. Holt's UTexas group back in 2013 for analysis in the Bramson et al. 2015 GRL paper "Widespread excess ice in Arcadia Planitia, Mars" (doi:10.1002/2015GL064844).The cluttersims for scarp sites #1-7 were generated by CO-SHARPS (Colorado SHARAD Radar Processing System).
