Chicken is known to be the major source of Campylobacter infection for humans either through insufficient heat treatment or cross-contamination in the kitchen. To identify the possible transmission routes of Campylobacter spp. in chickens by Swedish broiler producers, and to take effective measures in the primary production to reduce the risk of chickens being colonized with Campylobacter spp. The long-term goal is to reduce the presence of Campylobacter spp. in chicken.
