Farhang-i-Sikandarnâma-i-barrî (فرهنگ سكندرنامۀ برّى).

A special glossary to the first part of the Iskandarnâma, with Persian interlinear explanation. It consists of two series of words, both arranged alphabetically according to the first letter; the first series begins on fol. 1b with اردى بهشت (نام بهار و مدّت ماندن آفتاب), the second, on fol. 23a, with الله (خداى); see a similar but shorter glossary in the Bodleian Cat., No. 1982 (كليد سكندرنامه). It ends on fol. 29b, and is followed on ff. 30a-32 by short glossary of the Pahlawî words which occur in Firdausî’s Shâhnâma (بدانكه الفاظى كه استاد الانام مولانا ابوالقاسم متخلّص بفردوسى طوسى رحمة الله عليه در شاهنامه بزبان پهلوان آورده اند جمله اينست) , likewise in alphabetical order. Many of these so-called Pahlawî words are simply Arabic ones, see, for instance, the first three: ادريس (نام پیغمبر), انبيا (پيغمبران), الياس و خضر (معروف), etc. A small portion of the first page is torn away.
