资源简介:
A longitudinal data collection started in 2006 based in Victorian primary and secondary schools where multiculturalism and a predominance of migrant cultural backgrounds with a culture of growing their own food was the focus. The data was collected by Amy Cutter-Mackenzie and Tiffany Mosquerai (nee Cutter) from (Faculty of Education, Monash University), assisted by Kate Eastwood (Monash Honours student), Helen Widdop-Quinton and Sylvia Almeida (Monash PhD students) and supported by the Department of Education and the Gould League. Each year 5 Victorian schools from rural and metropolitan areas participate with a maximum of 20 students selected in each school. Pre and post surveys online via survey monkey form the quantitative data and the participating children as researchers conduct interviews with other children and teachers, take photographs both digital and print, and keep diaries which forms the qualitative data. The data indicates the effectiveness of the project in leading to healthier lifestyles – healthy eating, exercise, celebrating cultural diversity and positive outcomes for migrant communities. This longitudinal study is due for completion in 2011.
