<b>CONTENTS OF THIS DATASET</b><br><br><b>1) time_calibrated_phylogeny_190_species.nwk:</b> A time-calibrated phylogeny of 190 species of placental mammals included in this study.<br><br><b>2)</b> <b>time_calibrated_phylogeny_100_species.nwk: </b>A time-calibrated phylogeny of a carefully curated set of 100 placental mammals (see the main text of the study for more details).<br><br><b>3) species_tree_for_TRACCER.nwk:</b> A phylogeny of 100 placental mammals, 2 monotremes, and 14 marsupials, with branch lengths in units of substitutions per site. This phylogeny was used for the TRACCER screens of our study.<br><br><b>4) gene_trees_for_TRACCER.txt:</b> 17,314 gene trees with a topology fixed to that of the species' phylogeny (species_tree_for_TRACCER.nwk). These gene trees were part of the TRACCER screens described in our study.
