This study reports a comparative assessment of the biological impact of a heated tobacco aerosol from the tobacco heating system (THS) 2.2 and smoke from a combustible 3R4F cigarette on human organotypic small airway epithelium tissue exposed at the air-liquid interface. Cytotoxicity was assessed using the adenylate cyclase (AK) assay. This dataset reports single measurements for each tissue insert. Relative Luminescence Units (RLU) are normalized from values of the positive control (Triton X-100) used to derive the 100% cytotoxicity, and from the negative control (untreated samples). They are reported in percentage.
