Transcriptome Sequencing of Asian Common Toad, Duttaphrynus melanostictus

Transcriptome sequencing of the Asian common toad (Duttaphrynus melanostictus), a widespread amphibian species in Asia, was carried out to characterize its expressed genes and provide a molecular resource for future studies. RNA was extracted from whole individuals and sequenced using high-throughput Illumina technology to capture a broad range of transcripts. The assembled transcriptome enables exploration of genes related to development, physiology, stress response, and adaptation to diverse environments. This dataset will support comparative genomics, evolutionary biology, and ecological studies, while also contributing to amphibian conservation research and potential applications in toxicology and environmental monitoring.
