MANAGEMENT OF SOFT TISSUE INJURIES IN THE MAXILLOFACIAL REGION

This article examines the clinical features, diagnosis, and treatment principles of soft tissue injuries in the maxillofacial region. The importance of early assessment and proper primary surgical management in preventing complications is emphasized. Particular attention is given to layered wound closure, infection prevention, and preservation of functional structures such as nerves and salivary ducts. Comprehensive treatment includes antibacterial therapy, local wound care, and rehabilitation measures aimed at restoring facial function and appearance. The findings indicate that timely and systematic management significantly reduces infection, scar formation, and functional impairment. Therefore, a combined surgical and rehabilitative approach provides optimal functional and aesthetic outcomes for patients with maxillofacial soft tissue injuries.
