LKB1 regulates mitochondrial metabolisma and macrophage polarization

To investigate the function of LKB1 signaling in macrophages, we generated BMDMs from WT and LysMCre Stk11 fl/fl mice and profiled their genome-wide transcripts. Overall design: We isolated the bone marrow from WT and LysMCre Stk11 fl/fl mice and differentiated them into bone marrow derived macrophages (BMDMs) in the presence of M-CSF (40 ng/ml) for 7 days. BMDMs were stimulated with or without IL-4 (20 ng/ml) for 24 h. Then, we performed RNA-seq to profile mRNA transcripts from WT and KO BMDMs stimulated with or without IL-4.
