资源简介:
This is a research study which aims to investigate the relationship between the specific alcohol metabolite etylglucuronid (ETG) in saliva, blood and urine, after consuming a known amount of alcohol. ETG can be detected in the blood several hours longer than alcohol, and in urine up to a few days. ETG is therefore an important marker for the detection of previous alcohol intake. The purpose of the experiment is to investigate whether saliva samples can replace blood and urine samples in epidemiological studies, the medical controls and the assessment of alcohol consumption, especially by monitoring persons addicted to alcohol during rehabilitation.
