Cross-species Regulatory Network Analysis Identifies FOXO1 as a Driver of Ovarian Follicular Recruitment

To indentify the master regulators that control the processes between the pre-recruitment and pre-ovulatory F5 follicular stages in laying hens. RNA was isolated from a group of 3-5 pre-recruitment follicles and the most recently recruiteed pre-ovualtory follicle (F5). After RNA isolation, follicles underwent RNA sequencing and differential gene expression analysis occurred. Follicles from two follicular stages from 12 month old hens were used. Total RNA was obtained folliclular tissue samples using TRIZol reagent and RNA-Sequencing occurred. This study represents a re-analysis of all of the raw data generated for GSE228994.
