Houston Crime (Part 1) Reports - 2009-2015

Includes date, time, offense type, count of offenses, and location. Offense type exclusively refers to Part 1 crimes in congruence with the FBI's categorization of murder, burglary, theft, auto theft, aggravated assault, rape, and robbery. Even though the geographic resolution is indicated to be "Address/parcel", what is provided is a range of address on a street (block range). Other location information from HPD include premise where the crime occurred and police neighborhood beat. This data was geo-processed to produce x/y coordinates (points geocoded at street level using the midpoint of the street segment), community tabulation area (CTA), as well as 2000 and 2010 census block. Moreover, some fields were standardized, most notably the location of the crime based on the "premise" codes and descriptions supplied by the HPD.
