RNA sequencing of whole sciatic Dorsal Root Ganglia (DRG) from young and aged mice

Purpose: compare the gene expression in whole sciatic DRG of aged mice preceding and after sciatic nerve injury (SNI) compared to the young Results: we found ageing-dependent gene expression changes repressing axonal regeneration following sciatic nerve injury Overall design: Method: RNA-seq from sciatic DRG extracted from the young or aged mice 24 hours after sciatic nerve injury or sham. For whole DRG, sciatic DRGs from 2 mice were used for each sample. DRG were collected in RNAlater reagent, and crushed with RNase free micropestle for RNA extraction.
