Ambient vibration measurements and triggered aftershock recordings were taken on a nine story hotel. The hotel was a precast concrete structure with a moment resisting frame for lateral load resistance. The structure was damaged in the Christchurch earthquake and subsequent aftershocks. During field measurements, the building was being inspected for damage with partition removal and content storage as the primary activities underway.
The structure's latitude and longitude are -43.53190 and 172.635515, respectively.
