RNA-Seq of E13.5 control and Isl1 cKO retinae

The transcription factor ISL1 regulates a unique set of genes in retinal ganglion cells. KEGG Pathway analysis of differentially expressed genes in Isl1 cKO retina revealed multiple genes involved in axon guidance, extracellular matrix-receptor interactions, and cell adhesion molecules. Overall design: To get an overall picture of the transcriptomic changes upon loss of Isl1, we performed RNA-Seq on control and Isl1-null retina at E13.5. We then performed gene expression profiling analysis using data obtained from RNA-seq of 2 control and 2 Isl1cKO retina at E13.5.
