Pigmentibacter ruber strain Toyama-1, whole genome shotgun sequencing project

The goal of this study has been to isolate, identify and characterzize the bacteria found at the fatal case of bacteremia which subsequently occurred after aspiration pneumonia probably due to accidental ingestion of irrigation water in the elderly patient. Whole-genome sequencing showed the strain isolated from the patient was closely related to Pigmentibacter ruber strain HNSRY-1.
