On the 06 September 2025 at 08:00, a severe rainstorm and subsequent flooding were reported to have affected Vasternorrland County, Sweden. The event was reported to have affected buildings and transport infrastructure, and entire villages were cut off, while additional heavy rainfall was forecasted to worsen the situation. Copernicus EMS Rapid Mapping has been requested to provide flood extent and damage assessment emergency mapping.
