We collected the data in 2010 by submitting a questionnaire to patients who suffered an ABI and another questionnaire to members of her/his family in the provinces of Verona and Florence in Italy. The sample comprises 401 household questionnaires and 392 individual questionnaires. In 379 cases, both the household and individual questionnaires have been filled. 211 (53%) household and 215 (55%) individual questionnaires were administered in Verona, while 190 (47%) and 177 (45%), respectively, were administered in Florence. Only patients who were above 18 years old were included in the sample.
