THEORETICAL AND METHODOLOGICAL FOUNDATIONS OF DIGITAL HISTORY

This scientific article systematically analyzes the process of formation of the discipline of digital history, its theoretical sources and methodological foundations. The study highlights the differences between digital history and traditional historiography, its epistemological status and its place within the Digital Humanities from a scientific and theoretical point of view. It discusses the effectiveness of the use of digital methods in historical research, their impact on scientific results and limitations. The results of the study substantiate the formation of digital history as an independent scientific paradigm.
