A global transcriptome profiling was performed by RNA-seq on human BM-MSCs exposed to biomechanical stimulation (perfusion) and biophysical stimulation (PEMF stimualtion) and the set of pathways and upstream regulators were detected using bioinformtic tools to determine how biophysical stimulation induce biological effects. RNA-Seq technology was implemented to compare the gene transcription induced in human BM-MSCs stimulated by PEMF in a bone tissue-like physiological environment.
