Readme for TROPESS CrIS-Suomi-NPP observations of PAN matched to atmospheric aircraft observations of PAN from the Atmospheric Tomography Mission (ATom) aircraft campaign during 2016-2018

This data has single-pixel CrIS-SNPP observations of PAN, CO, NH3, O3, CH3OH, Tatm, H2O, HDO, CH4 for the period 2016-2018 primarily over the Pacific and Atlantic oceans matching PAN observations from the Atmospheric Tomography Mission (ATom) aircraft campaign during 2016-2018 (https://www.earthdata.nasa.gov/data/projects/atom). This dataset contains profiles from the PAN ECD and PAN Georgia Tech CIMS ATom observations that have been extended by the GEOS-Chem model. This dataset contains matches between ATom and CrIS-SNPP, and plots of the matches for a dataset equivalent to Payne et al. (2022), where CrIS PAN has a -0.1 ppb bias versus ATom observations, as well as for an updated dataset which utilizes changes in time of minor trace gases (CCl4 and CFCs) which removes the ATom/CrIS-SNPP bias. This dataset also contains night-time matches to assess day/night performance.
