DIGITAL GAME-BASED LEARNING AS A TOOL FOR STRENGTHENING GRAMMAR COMPETENCE AMONG UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS
收藏资源简介:
In recent years, digital technologies have significantly influenced teaching practices in higher education, including foreign language instruction. One approach that has attracted considerable interest is digital game-based learning (DGBL), which integrates educational content with interactive gaming elements. This article explores the role of digital games in improving grammar competence among university students. Drawing on theoretical perspectives and empirical studies, the research analyses how game-based grammar applications promote learner engagement, provide opportunities for repeated practice, and deliver immediate feedback. The review indicates that digital game environments can support the development of grammatical accuracy while also increasing students’ motivation to practice language structures. However, the effectiveness of such tools depends largely on their pedagogical integration and alignment with course objectives. The article also highlights existing research gaps and suggests directions for further studies on game-based grammar instruction in higher education.
