IARA an Acoustical Recordings Archive (IARA), named as an acronym for a character from Tupi-Guarani mythology, is a set of acoustical data collected under the Santos Basin Soundscape Monitoring Project (PMPAS-BS), carried out by PETROBRAS in compliance with conditions required by the federal environmental licensing process conducted by IBAMA.IARA contains 129 h and 34 min of audio data from 1825 recordings, including ship and background noises in different environmental conditions. This provision could aid in future research in the field of underwater acoustic.
