Developing a Short-Term Rapid Road Traffic Safety Assessment Indicator for Freeway Segments: Copula-Based Joint Modeling of Crash and Risky Driving Behavior Counts

This dataset provides anonymized and aggregated sample data associated with the study entitled “Developing a Short-Term Rapid Road Traffic Safety Assessment Indicator for Freeway Segments: Copula-Based Joint Modeling of Crash and Risky Driving Behavior Counts.” The dataset contains hourly observations from 22 freeway segments. The variables include crash frequency, risky driving behavior frequency, traffic volume, average speed, occupancy, roadway characteristics, and corresponding traffic-state variability measures. A data dictionary is included in the uploaded Excel file to describe the variables and their units.
