WQ Bacteria Dash Data (Ext)

This feature layer is a dependent of the Water Quality Bacteria Dashboard. It represents point data of monitoring stations located within the San Antonio River Basin, with e. coli results and geomean. This layer is updated on a monthly basis. Geometric Mean (geomean) is determined for each monitoring station using E. coli results for all routine samples collected during the last five years. All monitoring stations contain at least 18 E. coli results. The River Authority uses geomean to determine the type of contact recreation at a given location. It is an average of water quality testing results over time. The River Authority currently reports 3 standards: Primary contact recreation 1: The geometric mean criterion for E. coli is 126 MPN per 100 mL. This standard refers to activities which are presumed to involve a significant risk of water ingestion, such as swimming and wading by children. Primary contact recreation 2: The geometric mean criterion for E. coli is 206 MPN per 100 mL. This standard refers to water recreation activities which involve a significant risk of water ingestion, but less frequently than for primary contact recreation 1. Water recreation activities, such as swimming and wading by children, are suitable for this standard. Secondary contact recreation 1: The geometric mean criterion for E. coli is 630 MPN per 100 mL. This standard refers to water recreation activities which commonly occur, but have limited body contact with the water, and are presumed to pose a less significant risk of water ingestion than the primary contact recreation 1 standard. Water recreation activities, such as kayaking and paddling, are suitable for this standard. Data Dictionary: station_id: The River Authority's identification for the monitoring/historic/sampling station sara_short: A short description of the station location results: E. Coli result sample for the station units: the units for the results field are in MPN/mL latitude_m: latitude of the station location longitude_: longitude of the station location waterbody_: the stream the station is nearest Result1: Result1 coverts the value from the result field with a < value to half the result. For example, if the ecoli result is <1, Result1 will be 0.5. Geomean: Determined for each monitoring station using E. coli results for all routine samples collected during the last five years. All monitoring stations contain at least 18 E. coli results. The River Authority uses geomean to determine the type of contact recreation at a given location. It is an average of water quality testing results over time. result1Min: the minimum result value taken during the geomean time interval (5 year, 18 results) for the station. result1Max: the maximum result value taken during the geomean time interval (5 year, 18 results) for the station. date: Date of ecoli sample collection (string field type) dates: Date of ecoli sample collection (date field type) isEndDate: 0 or 1 value to indicate most recent date of collection for a station. This can be used as a filter, apply isEndDate = 1, to show the latest results for a station, since there are more than 10 values for a station. recent_dat: most recent date for the stations sample collection (string field type) rec_date: most recent date for the stations sample collection (date field type) max_date: date of the highest ecoli result (string field type) max_dat: date of the highest ecoli result (date field type) URL: URL hosted by the River Authority that displays an interactive graph of the results along with additional information such as rainfall.
