Building and Vegetation Height of the Municipality of São Paulo for 2020 (1m)
收藏资源简介:
LiDAR-based building and vegetation height dataset for the Municipality of São Paulo for the year 2020 at 1m spatial resolution. This preliminary version is currently available only for a 1 × 1 km area within the Vila Mariana district. The Municipality of São Paulo conducted two LiDAR surveys, in 2017 and 2020 where heights for 2017 are already available in Gomes dataset (2020). However, the 2020 LiDAR data contain classification errors that makes it harder to generate reliable products for the entire municipality. The data for the year of 2020 has classification errors, which makes it difficult to produce this dataset for the intere municipality. To produce this preliminary dataset, supervised corrections were applied to the original point-cloud classification using NDVI, point height, and neighborhood point statistics. The correction workflow was implemented in the R programming language, and the script is available on Github. The main products are: building_height.tif vegetation_height.tif Additional raster products include: Digital Elevation Model (DEM.tif) Digital Surface Model (DSM.tif) Canopy Height Model (CHM.tif) These models were generated independently, therefore the relationship CHM = DSM − DEM is approximate rather than exact. The dataset also includes auxiliary products such as: Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) dominant pixel classification multispectral imagery containing Red, Green, Blue, and Near-Infrared (NIR) bands This dataset was supported by The São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) under grant numbers 2021/11762-5, 2022/15999-2 and 2025/12621-7. It is also part of the tecnichal cooperation between the Institute of Astronomy, Geophysics and Atmospheric Science of the University of São Paulo (IAG/USP) and the Municipal Secretariat of Green and Environment of the São Paulo Municipality with term n° 005/SVMA/2023.
