SSUextract curated and IMG-enhanced reference databases, version 1.0.2

Versioned SSU rRNA gene reference databases for SSUextract. The curated profile uses SILVA 138.2 SSURef NR99 for bacterial and archaeal taxonomy and PR2 5.1.1 for eukaryotic and organellar host taxonomy. The IMG profile uses the same reference releases and adds IMG 16S rRNA gene and 18S rRNA gene sequences from the 2025 eukcensus dataset. Version 1.0.2 records the cluster centroid name and its calibrated SILVA or PR2 taxonomy separately from the conservative taxonomy assigned to each IMG cluster-member sequence. Both profiles contain marker-specific BLAST indexes, normalized taxonomy tables, source and build provenance, and license notices. Distributed IMG metadata is limited to taxon identifiers, centroid names, and valid latitude and longitude values; project, contact, email, and comment fields are excluded.
