The relationship of soil protist, and soil edaphic parameters in various land-use types under different plant species remain elusive in Xiongan New Area of China where it has received considerable attention for urban planning and infrastructural projects. To begin to address this, we examined edaphic variables and microbial compositions that were compared among five habitat types: man-made forest, crop cultivation, dry river, shallow lake, and around the oil wells with 12 experimental plots from terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems.
