UNESCO Research and Experimental Development Statistics, 1996-2015

Abstract copyright UK Data Service and data collection copyright owner.<br> <br> The UIS collects research and development data from more than 200 countries and territories through its biennial research and experimental development survey and partnerships with other statistical organizations, such as <a href="http://ec.europa.eu/eurostat/" title="Eurostat">Eurostat</a>, <a href="http://www.ricyt.org/homeenglish" title="Red Iberoamericana de Indicadores de Ciencia y Tecnologia">Red Iberoamericana de Indicadores de Ciencia y Tecnologia</a> (RICYT) and the <a href="http://www.oecd.org/" title="Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development">Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development</a> (OECD).<br> <br> The UNESCO Institute of Statistics (UIS) produces a wide range of indicators on the human and financial resources invested in Research and Development for countries at all stages of development. The Research and Experimental Developments Statistics consist of annual data from 1996 onwards for over 160 countries. The data were collected through the Institute’s survey on R/D statistics in partnership with regional and international organizations, including the <a href="http://www.oecd.org/" title="Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development">Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development</a> (OECD) and <a href="http://ec.europa.eu/eurostat/" title="Eurostat">Eurostat</a>.<br> <br> UNESCO (2017): Research and Experimental Development Statistics (Edition: July 2016).
