Post-traumatic stress, post-traumatic growth, cognitive fusion, and intolerance of uncertainty: Data from April-November 2020

Longitudinal data were collected via self-report at three points in time from Amazon Mechanical Turk Workers (MTurk) in the United States between April and November of 2020 (mid April, late June, and late October-early November). Variables include the Posttraumatic Growth Inventory ("Time2PTGtotal" and "Time3PTGtotal"; 21 items; Likert scale 1-6), the Intolerance of Uncertainty Scale ("Time1ROUStotal"; 12 items; Likert scale 1-5), the Impact of Events Scale – Revised ("Time1IOESRtotal"; 22 items; Likert scale 1-5), and the Cognitive Fusion Questionnaire-7 ("Time1cfqtotal5"; 7 items on a Likert scale 1-5). Demographic variables include age ("Time1Age" and "Time2Age"), sex ("Time1Sex"; 1=female, 2=male), annual income ("Time1Annual_Income"), race ("Time1Race"; 1=Hispanic/Latino, 2=White, 3=Black or African American, 4=Asian, 5=Native Hawaiian or other Pacific Islander, 6=American Indian or Alaska Native, 7=two or more races, 8=choose not to self-identify race/ethnicity), whether the respondent has children ("Time1Children"; 1=no, 2=yes), and whether the respondent has a current medical condition that is not COVID-19 ("Time1Illnesses"; 1=no, 2=yes). There are two datasets. One includes individuals who responded to the first two time points (N = 151; "PTG-covid2020_Time2.xlsx"). The other includes individuals who responded to all three timepoints (N = 78; "PTG-covid2020_Time3.xlsx"). Note that participant identification numbers in each dataset do not correspond to one another (variables "ID" and "Participant_ID"). Individuals who responded to only the first time point are not included in either dataset.
