A bacterium-based infection able to be resolved by a course of antibiotics, untreated stomach ulcers could nevertheless progress to form stomach cancers. More importantly, there has been increasing prevalence of H. pylori infections observed clinically. This work sought to provide foundational information of the genetic repertoire of H. pylori by parsing its annotated genome sequence downloaded from Genbank. Comprising gene name, gene function, and gene sequence, the resource should be a good initiator for further studies aiming to understand the molecular underpinnings of H. pylori pathogenesis.
