The corrosion behavior of 316H stainless steel (SS) in molten NaCl-KCl-MgCl2 salts without and with purification by Mg metal was investigated at 700 °C. The data set is divided into three parts, including the ananlysis of salt components, the ananlysis of alloy samples corroded in the impure salt and the purified salt. These data are original data.
