资源简介:
Recent experimental findings in the cubic helimagnet Cu2OSeO3 highlight the paramount role of cubic anisotropy in stabilizing novel chiral and skyrmion phases. If a magnetic field is applied along the easy <001> crystallographic direction, competing cubic and exchange anisotropies tilt the wave vector of the conical spiral away from the magnetic field. Furthermore, thermodynamically stable or metastable skyrmions have been reported also at low temperatures. Our calculations show that the spatial orientation of these low temperature metastable skyrmion lattice is determined by magnetic anisotropies and the basis vectors of the skyrmion crystal are not necessarily orthogonal to the applied field. We now propose to investigate the spatial orientation of these low temperature skyrmions at using the unique capabilities of the ISIS 3D vector cryomagnet.
