Metagenomic study of gut microflora of probiotic cultured Heteropneustes fossilis (Bloch), an indigenous catfish

This study aimed to explore the bacterial composition of intestine of probiotic treated Heteropneustes fossilis (Bloch). Microbial diversity, functional annotations, prevalence of antimicrobial resistance genes related to those bacterial community was elucidated. Common fish probiotic flora with their functions related to growth promotion of host was also depicted.
