Data and analyses of "Local Species Richness of Parasitoid Wasps (Ichneumonidae: Pimplinae) in Afrotropical Forest: Conservation Perspectives"

This dataset contains the data, analyses and supplementary table and figures of our paper on the diversity of Pimplinae wasps collected in Uganda (Uganda 2014–2015). This is version 1, the version we sent in for review; the data of the reviewed, revised and published paper will be in version 2. We estimated the relative species richness in different habitat types, for different biological groups of pimplines, and compared to other tropical collections. The script (`Pimplinae richness analyses.R`) will usually be what you're after as a reader. It contains the R code used to analyse the data and create the figures in the paper. To run the analyses, you will also need to load the R package `turkuwasps`. That is where we have packaged all the general R code we use to analyse wasp habitat use, phenology and species richness. For best results, install the version that was used for this paper (v0.0.3): the package may change significantly in the future! The main dataset contains: `Pimplinae richness analyses.R` The R code used to analyse the data and create the figures. `202505 Pimplinae.csv` The data of all the pimpline wasps. In "Kotka" format as stored in the Finnish Biodiversity Information Facility: two headers, followed by each wasp on its own row. `202505 damaged or missing Pimplinae samples.csv` The basic data of the samples that did not collect a typical sample of Pimplinae. `202505 Pimplinae simplified.csv` The data in simplified format. Irrelevant columns removed and otherwise made easier to read and handle. The script converts the data in `202505 Pimplinae.csv` to this format. This file is not used by the script, it is included as a convenience to the reader to make browsing the data easier. `figures` Folder with the figures of the article.
