Ptarmigans cecum microbiome

To characterize the microbiome in the ceca of wild and captive ptarmigans. The goal is to better understand the physiology of the microbial community in the ceca of these birds to obtain a broader understanding of their digestive physiologies. Samples were collected from the ceca of wild and captive ptarmigans to check for differences between their respective microbiota, and see how living conditions may affect the microbial communities.
