Young pulsars are of interest in several different ways: they are sometimes\nassociated with supernova remnants, they sometimes have high-energy\n(optical, X-ray, gamma-ray) pulsed emission, and they usually have\nsignificant period variations and often suffer glitches. We propose frequent\nmonitoring of the period of about 35 mostly young pulsars to provide\na database for high-energy, ATCA and LBA observations of pulsars and to\ninvestigate variations in their period.
