PC1 scores ITCZ influence strength

This data set contains the first principal component (PC1) scores obtained from a principal component analysis of 11 rigorously selected paleoclimate records. The records share a common solar forcing and are distributed across the Northern Hemisphere, including East Asia and Central Asia. PC1 captures the integrated signal of ITCZ variability, and its absolute value reflects the relative strength of ITCZ influence on regional climate system. The data cover the past 6,800 years with a uniform 20‑year resolution.
