资源简介:
mOFC is an area related to cognitive flexibility, inhibitory control, and decision-making, moreover, it has recently has been established that a circuit initiated in this area governs compulsive alcohol drinking. However, due to the key role of this area in executive functions or inhibitory control, it is possible that during early stages of consumption, mOFC may activate neuronal circuits in response to alcohol that could limit its consumption. Utilizing a validated model of binge alcohol consumption (Drinking in the Dark), we aimed to better understand the transcriptional response to binge alcohol consumption within the mOFC by performing singe-cell RNA sequencing on mOFC punches from saccharine (as a control) and binge drinking alcohol mice.
