This dataset contains cross-sectional survey data from nurse clinical mentors, exploring barriers to evidence-based practice in clinical teaching. The data includes 12 variables collected from 654 participants across four hospitals, with the following structure:
1.No: Unique identifier for each participant (anonymized).
2.Hospital: Coded label indicating the source hospital (anonymized).
3.Work experience: Total years of nursing practice (continuous, in years).
4.Teaching experience: Years of clinical teaching experience (continuous, in years).
5.Education background: Highest degree attained (1 = Bachelor’s, 2 = Master’s).
6.Positions: Professional role (1 = Clinical nurse, 2 = Nursing manager).
7.Teaching willingness: Self-reported interest in teaching (1 = Strongly like to 5 = Strongly dislike).
8.Teaching stress: Perceived stress in teaching (1 = Very high to 5 = Very low).
9.EBP training: Prior training in EBP (1 = No training, 2 = Received training).
10.EBP practice: Frequency of applying EBP in teaching (1 = Never to 5 = Always).
11.Diffusion stage: Five stages categorized by the Innovation Diffusion Theory
12.The modified Chinese Version of the BARRIERS Scale, including four dimensions:
Communication (C),
Innovation (I),
Organization (O),
Adopter (A).
