Transcriptome analysis of thyroid cancer cells treatment with baicalin

Baicalin is the main flavonoid component extracted from Scutellaria root. It has multiple potent biological activities, including anti-tumor and antioxidant activity. In our study, we investigated the function of baicalin on thyroid cancer cell proliferation and invasion. Our results demonstrated that baicalin significantly inhibits thyroid cancer cell proliferation and invasion; In vitro, baicalin significantly promotes thyroid cancer cell apoptosis; In vivo, dramatically inhibited tumor growth in mouse xenograft model. But the mechanism was unknown. Therefore, transcriptome analysis of thyroid cancer cells treatment with baicalin was performed.
