Schistosoma_mansoni___host_cell_transcriptomes_____

This project focuses on Schistosoma mansoni during the infection in mammalian host. Aiming to explore whether S. mansoni may respond to and/or influence the host environment, we co-cultured S. mansoni with mammalian cell lines and analysed transcriptomes of the parasites. Following the analysis of the parasite transcriptomes, the transcriptomes of the co-cultured cells will be studied to investigate the effects that the parasites may have on the cells and to further understand the environment which the parasites were exposed to.
