We used the Community Land Model (CLM4.5), which integrates carbon-nitrogen biogeochemistry (BGC) and dynamic vegetation (DV) modules, to simulate the changes in the Tibetan Plateau’s terrestrial ecosystem from 850 CE to 2020 CE, focusing on the variables of permafrost area, forest cover, and carbon stock.
