VPRS 9600 Board Hearings Files (Award Variations Portion Only Transferred)

This series originally contained files documenting Conciliation and Arbitration Board hearings. These hearings pertained to variation to awards, unfair dismissals and industrial disputes. Papers on file will include minutes of the hearing, the original application and the instruments of determination. The portion of the series transferred to PRO custody only contains files concerning award variations.Files within the series pertaining to unfair dismissals and industrial disputes were authorised for destruction by the Public Record Office. Information on these matters is summarized in the Minute Books (VPRS 5467).Subsequent and Related SeriesThis series commenced in 1983 with the introduction of an annual single number filing system.This series was created and maintained separately from the case files of the Industrial Relations Commission (VPRS 9599) until 1988. From 1988 the files were incorporated into VPRS 9599 Case Files, which is the subsequent series. The P2 consignment of VPRS 9599 contains all of the extant Board files for the years 1988-1992.
