Taxonomic Structure, Biological Functions, and Phylogenomic Diversity of the Pakistani Gastrointestinal Microbiota in Health and Disease

Gut microbial profiles of healthy and diseased individuals using 16S rRNA amplicon sequencing (V3-V4) related to three projects: a) Understanding gut microbiology as a subject goes through periods of fasting and food deprivation; b) Understanding the exposome of individuals deemed as Helicobacter Pylori positive, that includes dietary, psychosocial factors, as well as their gut microbiome within the context of Pakistani society; and c) Exploring healthy microbiota, elucidating its role within the context of ethnic and dietary disparities.
