opto-4: LFPs characterisation – recording-depth series
收藏资源简介:
Experiment: Characterization of local field potentials (LFPs) evoked by photostimulation across cortical recording depths Description: This experiment was designed to examine how the depth of optrode insertion within the cortex affects the amplitude and profile of optogenetically evoked local field potentials (LFPs) in the primary somatosensory cortex (S1). The optrode was gradually lowered from the cortical surface (0 mm) to a depth of 1.5 mm, in 0.1 mm increments. At each depth, ten light pulses (10 ms, 20 mA) were delivered every 10 ± 2 seconds. A brief pause was included after each depth adjustment to allow cortical tissue relaxation and signal stabilization. This depth-resolved approach enabled the characterization of LFPs across cortical layers, providing insight into the spatial distribution of optogenetically evoked responses.
